Confessions of an Oversharer

It’s come to my attention recently, that I am, potentially, an oversharer. I mean, it’s probably not news to you. Particularly if you’ve been on this journey with me for the last 4 and a bit years, you might have noticed. Although, in my defence, that is kind of the purpose of a blog. It’s not particularly a two-way street!

But anyways, I digress. I confess (once again), that the title of this blog is mainly just to catch your attention. What I really want to talk about is not particularly related, but I couldn’t come up with a title to start my blog in a semi interesting way. What I really wanted to share with you, is that I got a new job!

In fact, I’ve been in this role since August. It’s a bit crazy how it all came about. Right as we were in the midst of wedding planning, preparing to come over to England whilst finishing up bits here (lessons, sorting out the little Loons and the house), I had a second message about this job opportunity. This time I listened to it and, a little begrudgingly, realised it would probably be a good fit for me. So, in all the pre-wedding, pre-coming to England, pre-getting covid AGAIN madness, it was time for me to do a job interview! Anyways, long story short, I got the job. Wahooo!!!

So when I came back from England, I jumped straight into the new job. It’s such a good fit for me and has really helped me with the transition of coming back to Argentina, after being in England. My role is that of an Academics Advisor. I work for a company that teaches all kinds of languages that you can imagine (and probably those that you don’t even know of- Tagalog, Afrikaans, Kashmiri, Uzbek, just to name a few!) all over the world, and I have to send suggested materials/lesson plans over, write profiles for the teachers who want to work for us, provide training sessions to new teachers. All things, which I have learnt to do as a teacher / like doing since I like writing. And with the economy as it is (a complete mess. It always has been but within this year it’s got markedly worse), getting the job has come as a big blessing to us financially too.

As a Christian, it really just seems to me like God is ordering my steps and opening the way up. I can’t begin to explain what a relief it is to have a secure job and not have enddlesssss lesson planning to do constantly. Plus, it’s nice to be working in a team again andddd, they’re flying us out to Brazil in December so we can all work together and have the end of year party, which I’m seriously buzzing about!!

So, there you have it! Ya gal Nadz has got herself a new job. I am still dabbling in a bit of teaching (intermediate conversation group classes y’all, hit me up if you’re interested! haha) but mainly in the new role.

Well, that’s it for me. I don’t really have a related picture, so enjoy this picture of Nolz and I when we went to the south recently!
